>>>Before we get started on this bio, if you want a bit more information on why I write this blog, and what it is, and what it is not, click HERE. <<<
Admitted to the California Bar since 2008, I have a background in business disputes and personal injury. In 2012, I began to explore legal issues related to weddings including vendor negotiation, and contract review. Initially interested in working with brides and grooms, my interest has broadened to include wedding professionals. While planning my own wedding and getting to know professionals along the way, I saw that wedding professionals need some legal support as well.
I graduated from UCLA in 2002 (Go Bruins!), and from Seattle University Law School in 2006. I have been self-employed since 2009 as a freelance research and writing attorney, in addition to working with my own clients. In 2015, after trying to figure out how to best share wedding information with brides, grooms, newlyweds, and wedding professionals, I decided to change my approach. Thus, the previously terribly neglected blog will hopefully now be littered with content related to weddings, and newlywed life! So much goes on when we get married. I want to share as much as I can so that couples are informed and prepared!
I just love weddings and event planning. Gwen Stefani’s wedding gown is one of my all time favorites. I also adore Oceana roses, and cathedral length wedding veils. Oh the drama of a veil, am I right?
Mr. Wedding Lawyer and I have a Boxer mix rescue that he adopted a few years ago. I just love her, and cannot stop myself from sharing pictures of her on instagram. I mean, look at this face! She is 70 lbs of energy and love. Here she is on a summer day in her favorite pink bandanna:
I have been lucky enough to have been featured in several leading wedding publications including the Budget Savvy Bride, Broke Ass Bride, About.com, The Knot, Slate and The New York Times. You can check all of that out on the Wedding Lawyer Media page, or via the menu button.
